Whale Watching by Boat – Puerto Pirámides, Valdés Peninsula
I had a unique experience: the sighting of the Southern Right Whale from Puerto Pirámides, in the heart of the Valdés Peninsula, one of the best places in the world to observe them up close.
Every year, starting in June, the southern right whale chooses the waters of the Golfo Nuevo to reproduce and raise its calves. During the season, it's possible to see breaches, tail slaps, flippers, and behavior very close to the surface, making each sighting an unforgettable natural spectacle.
Excursion route
The excursion departs from Puerto Pirámides, sailing through the Golfo Nuevo, within the Península Valdés Protected Natural Area.
Navigation is carried out in authorized vessels, with a covered area and all the corresponding safety measures.
